Since Wednesday’s event, we have had Thursday and Friday as work days. Did you work them and were they worked as a great 8?

We had 2 blitzes did you go to them?

We should have seen 10 previews and 10 expireds at the door and door knocked 200 doors? “I’m too old,” “I’m too young”,” I’m not smart enough”,” I’m not talented enough”,” I’m not disciplined”, “I’m disorganized”, I’m not in good enough physical condition to accomplish that, and about 1000 other limitations that we can sometimes find to argue for so we can justify why we are where we are and why we are who we are.

Always Do Your Best and Life Will Give You Its Best.

The average professional baseball player makes around $2.6 million dollars a year. The ball player at the top of the scale makes that much every month and a half! The average real estate agent might make around $40,000 to $50,000 per year while the top agents average that amount every month.

What is the difference? Is it because of greater skill or talent? Or is it luck? Why does one person make $40,000 a year at their full time profession and another person in the same business, with the same resources and probably the same educational materials available, earn so much more?

The key is applied effort. It is important to do your best in every part of life. What if you just have average talent and skill, like most people (that’s why it’s called average)? How could you ever hope to excel and be at the top of your pay scale? What makes the high paid guy high paid is not always his talent. It is almost always because he tries harder. He applies himself more diligently and he does his best more often than the average guy does. The interesting thing is that he probably is just average in his talent or skill level or at best started out with average skill. That means that average or even below average talent is not an excuse for average or below average performance.

Doing your best is not difficult. Actually, being average and lazy is more difficult. It creates more hardship when you do just enough to get by. Because in reality “just enough” is usually not quite enough. You will find yourself gradually drifting down stream. You will find that you eventually get to the point where, at least in some part of your life, you are coming up short. To do your best is achievable by anyone, yet the majority of folks never do their best. They do just enough to get by. Just enough to pay the bills. Just enough to keep their job. Just enough to live the lifestyle they have become accustomed to.

Have you ever thought about how much better your life would be if you always did your best? Think about that and then ask yourself this question: “How often do I give my best?” If you can honestly say to yourself that you frequently give your best, it will be evident in the lifestyle you are living.

“Self-esteem is the reputation you have with yourself.” Brian Tracy

The simple truth is that none of these “stories” have any validity unless we “sell them to ourselves” repeatedly. Almost every reason we can “fabricate” is simply an excuse that carries no weight unless we give it weight.
While it’s true that if we argue for our limitations our lives will be limited, it is also true that if we argue for the opposite we will enjoy our lives without limitations. Be careful of how you talk to yourself daily, hourly and minute by minute, as that controls the dominant thoughts we carry with us which decides our course and controls the lives we live. Small steps daily, not giant steps occasionally will get you to your goals. You can do anything you put your mind to.

Today Matters: What I do daily will bring me success beyond my wildest dreams, if I do what I am suppose to do when I am supposed to do it. If I continue to do what I have always done, I will get what I have always got. The actions you take today will speak volumes as to the success you will have this year.

Your choice.

Now go out and make it happen!
