Do we agree on this ?
We all have these traits to some degree or another, but let’s get a little more basic. Let talk about feet. Great agents use feet to walk and knock doors. Look down… do you have feet? Lets talk about eyes. Great agents have eyes to see opportunities. Do you have eyes ? Let’s talk about hands.  Great agents have hands to write offers with and to hand out cards, write offers or look up information on the  computer. Do you have hands?

I have asked you to stay focused on the finish line  1-1-2013. Other brokers are having their staffs start setting goals for 2013. We have not had you start that process. I think that activity sends agents the message that 2012 is over and you cannot list or sell a home this year. These are the facts: 

  • You can still sell a home in 2012.
  • You can still list homes that can sell this year.

Here are the 5 things you need to do:

1. Believe that it can happen.

Reminder: The things that you do today will determine your tomorrow. How can you expect an extraordinary future when you keep doing average things today?

2. Call all your seller leads and tell them how hot the market is;  Let them know that _____homes have closed escrow in their city in the last 30 days and the really good news is that  ____ closed at or are above list price and that the time to act is now.

3. Call and talk to all of your Centers of Influence and Past Clients before the end of the year and tell them about the great market, higher inventory and low interest rates. Use the hot market script!

4. Work every day until Christmas eve, then Dec 26th get back at it. Don’t stop now. Here’s a little secret, there are more people home for the next 10 working days than almost any time of the year.

5. Choose a city and go see 25 to 50 old expired listings a week for the next two weeks. Some of you are doubtful you can do this. Stop thinking of why it cannot be done and look for why and how it can be done.

Why am I convinced you can do this? Because in times of urgency you do more in less time when there is a time component attached.
Why am I convinced you can do this? Because In times of personal desire – you become more efficient and productive so that you can leave early for vacation.

Please remember……Today matters!

Get out there and take advantage of the opportunities. Stop waiting for your ship to come in and swim out to meet it. Get out of your comfort zone.

To get what we never had, we must do what we have never done. Stop being average and go make it happen today!
