You Attitude Matters

58 work days left, Run through the finish line. So what does run through the finish line mean to you?
“Go the extra mile”
“Get up daily and do your job even when you don’t want to”
“Get it done”
YOUR ATTITUDE CONTRIBUTES TO SUCCESS
Your job for the next 58 days; to turn over more rocks…..and do it faster and stay at it longer than your competition.

Question is……….What is the most important word in your real estate career?
Write it down on your card now and turn it in….
You wrote down…

Answer is————Attitude

Viktor Frankl wrote: “Everything can be taken from a man but one think: the last of the human freedoms ..to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances.”

Research conducted at Harvard and Stanford universities in the late 90’s came up with research that attitude is far more important than intelligence, education ,special talent or luck.

A study attributed to Harvard University found that when a person gets a job, 85% of the time because of their attitude, and only 15% of the time because of how smart they are and how many facts and figures they know.
Attitude is the most important word in the English language. It applies to every sphere of life, including one’s personal and professional life.
· Can an executive be a good executive without a good attitude?
· Can a student be a good student without a good attitude?
· Can a parent, teacher, salesman, employer, employee be good in their roles without a good attitude?
The foundation of success regardless of your chosen field, is attitude. The starting point for all success is forming a good attitude

Our attitudes operate like magnets, we are pulled in the direction of our thoughts. And that thought can be positive or negative. You are not born with a particular attitude. Where we are today is a result of attitudes we have learned. We form thoughts and feelings based on what we tell ourselves. We usually act on those thoughts and feelings. So therefore our self-talk is our attitude

What are you saying to yourself? Is it positive…and constructive? Or negative .. and destructive.

We become what we think about. Earl Nightingale says those 6 works are the foundation for success.

If you want to build a positive attitude, learn the phrase, “do it now” and stop the habit of procrastination.
The saddest words in life are:
• “It might have been.”
• “I should have.”
• “I could have.”
• “I wish I had.”
• “If only I had given a little extra.”

Never leave till tomorrow which you can do today.
–Benjamin Franklin
“If I accept you as you are I will make you worse. However, if I treat you as though you are what you are capable of becoming I will help you become that.” Goethe

Rick Pitino, University of Louisville Head Basketball Coach , on Developing Mental Toughness: Starts with the right attitude and state of mind (know what your core confidence is all about):

• Confidence comes in knowing you are prepared and having an unshakable belief in your abilities to reach intended goals

“Confidence is about who puts it on the line, who has the courage to compete like a warrior without fear of failure”

• Courage to leave it all out on the athletic field, play with heart, determination, and full focus. Program your mind for success ahead of time with positive affirmations and expectations

• Expect the best from yourself; affirm what it is you are going to do to be successful

Your attitude matters
Today matters

I am not asking you to work every day 24 hours a day 7 days a week

80 calendar days

53 wk days work them one at a time

Think about this…
Reminder between now and the end of the year
Deals will be done
Listings will be taken
Sales will be done
Money will be made
Some agent will be doing that… why shouldn’t that agent be you?

Your job
Turn over more rocks…..and do it faster and stay at it longer than your competition….

Now let’s go out and make this the best activity week so far this year…
