SALES MEETING 2-11-2013
1. Quote: Don’t be Afraid to Fail
You’ve failed many times, although you may not remember. You fell down the first time you tried to walk. You almost drowned the first time you tried to swim, didn’t you? Did you hit the ball the first time you swung a bat? Heavy hitters, the ones who hit the most home runs, also strike out a lot. R.H. Macy failed seven times before his store in New York caught on. English novelist John Creasey got 753 rejection slips before he published 564 books. Babe Ruth struck out 1,330 times but he also hit 714 home runs. Don’t worry about failure. Worry about the chances you miss when you don’t even try.
2. Six Weight Loss Myths; Link
Congratulations to the 4 winners of our February 6 Door Knock Blitz $25 gas cards: Maricella Ochoa, Eddie Perez, Joe Salazar, and Linda Dominguez, courtesy of International City Mortgage and Ramis Urribarri.3. Legal Update: Listings not in the MLSYou take a listing from Tom and are asked to not include it in the MLS for 1 week so
repairs can be done.
YOU COULD: Tell Tom that you will put his property in the MLS next week and go back to
work, making a note to yourself to enter the property next week.
RESULT: 6 days later Tom calls because he just found out his property has not
been put in the MLS and he is furious.
RESULT: A fellow agent turns you into the Board for not putting your listing in the MLS.
ANSWER: Prepare form SEL indicating the date the property will be entered into the MLS and
have Tom sign it. You also follow up with Tom during the week to see how he is
coming with the repairs and reminding him that you have not yet placed his property
RESULT: Tom is happy, and when the Board asks you, you have the signed SEL to
show that you acted ethically and professionally.
Shortcuts have too many potential downsides!
