Through over 30 years in the real estate business, I have learned that when agents consistently do what they should be doing, they are successful; I’ve also learned what agents who fall short of their goals consistently do. Several months ago, I spoke about the 7 Habits of Highly Effective Real Estate Agents; now let’s talk about the habits that make agents fail. Take a look at this video clip:

I like your commment, “It’s not okay with me for you to be where you are, where your kids don’t have and your families don’t have what it is you want for them.” That’s a great stand to take for your team. It’s about bringing out the best out of your players!

I like your style. Very straight forward with no BS. I would have never found this site with reading your post on Future of Real Estate Marketing. It’s easy to see why your firm is the #2 C21 in the country.
Happy Holidays!

I love it! “Those who thought and never did and those who did and never thought”…you MUST have a game plan. Equally important is to follow through with the game plan, even when it gets tough (and it will).
If the plan doesn’t work, re-evaluate, tweak, or change it completely…then work the new/revised plan, re-evaluate, follow-up, going through the cycle as many times is necessary to get the desired results.
Ideally, a well-crafted plan with ample upfront research and experience that works well the first time is the gold standard.

Thanks Neil for sharing the video. You hit the nail right on the head. This video hit home for me for another reason as well. I was just talking about this topic with my fiancé. Last week we were in the book store. I was in my favorite section, self-help books, and he asked me, “At what point do you not need to buy more books? Aren’t you successful enough without them?” To me, it was a strange question as I am always looking to grow: mentally, professionally, spiritually. Training myself and constant reading helps me to stay focus and on top of my game. My example a testament to your point that success is always an uphill battle. One should always expect plateaus and challenges along the road to success.
