Habits of Highly Successful People

Saturday night we celebrated with our 2013 Centurion winners, 38 of them. Link to Centurion Teams. Link to Centurion Agents. We have the Highest % of centurions in any century 21 office of our size in the nation.
What makes these people stand out?
As I looked around the room these are some of the commonalities I noticed:
Highly Successful people take 100% acceptance of responsibility for their results.
They didn’t blame the economy, the competition, or their company for dips in business.
Instead, the worse things got, the harder they worked to make negatives work to their advantage.
Highly Successful People take action
Are either on the phone, in the field prospecting, or with a customer because, you can’t make money unless you are on an appointment.
Highly Successful Real Estate Agents have the courage to do what they don’t like to do on the days they don’t what to do it.
They are pro-active, especially when things are slow. Instead of moaning and complaining that sales are down, they get on the phone and call past and existing customers as well as prospects to seek business or information.
Small steps daily not giant steps occasionally will get you to your goals.
Highly Successful People maintain a positive attitude and always stay “Up” even when the chips are down.
On the occasions when a deal does go wrong, they bounce back quickly and ask themselves, “What did I learn from this, and how do I prevent it happening again?”
Highly Successful Real Estate Agents perform all tasks quickly and efficiently in the minimum amount of time, always working to pre-agreed timelines.
They have a schedule, they work the schedule, and they know if it’s not in the schedule it doesn’t get done.
Highly successful people have great attitude’s:
Research conducted at Harvard and Stanford universities in the late 90’s came up with research that attitude is far more important than intelligence, education, special talent or luck. The studies say the starting point for all success is forming a good attitude. Our attitudes operate like magnets. We are pulled in the direction of our thoughts, and that thought can be positive or negative.
You are not born with a particular attitude. Where we are today is a result of attitudes we have learned. We form thoughts and feelings based on what we tell ourselves. We usually act on those thoughts and feelings. Therefore our self-talk is our attitude.
What are you saying to yourself? Is it positive or constructive? Or negative and destructive.
We become what we think about.
Earl Nightingale says those 6 words are the foundation for success.
If they can be the key to success can they also be the key to failure?
The person with the negative attitude thinks I can’t. The person with the positive attitude thinks I can.
The person with a negative attitude dwells on problems while the person with a positive attitude concentrates on solutions.
Positive attitude comes from within.
Life is not what happens to you… it is how you react to it.
Change your attitude and change your life.
People who succeed in life don’t think they can; they believe they can.
