It is without dispute that time management is a challenge for most real estate agents, in fact, most agents cringe when they hear the phrase and “tune out” when it is discussed. Reframing the phrase “time management” to “time choices,” reflects what we are really trying to accomplish, to make the right choices regarding what we are doing with our time. Watch this video and let me know if the refocusing on what choices we are making helps you:
Neil, great stuff as always. When I heard about the gentleman sitting next to you at the retreat, it reinforced in my mind a principle I often refer to which is; Sales people respond more to peer recognition than anything else. He mentioned do I have to do this the rest of my life and as you pointed out, the answer is yes. However, I was wondering why he felt the way he did.
I have read that money, while important, actually ranks below recognition and stature.
People want to know that what they are doing is actually worthwhile. By focusing on how one is caring for others while performing their duties and rewarding these actions frequently, we create habits that offer lifelong benefits to all partied involved.
Developing a sense of purpose in your daily choices I believe assist with motivating one to take action. We are needed and necessary to help others achieve their housing and financial goals, rewarding daily habits which lead to opportunities to serve, is paramount in achieving successful time choices.
My two cents.

You are so right about people that need money yet some how we find our selves sitting on the couch . In my area there were 3 listings that came up in October (remember im in the country pop of no more than 5000 in my area) and though Im still new at this Im trying to see what its going to take for me to get one of them and one way im not is sitting doing nothing . How ever I wonder if some people are afraid that if they invest that last $10 they have for gas or $50 for that ad in the realtor paper they may end up with nothing there are still ways to prospect in our bussiness that dont have monitary costs and its so true as Neil said “our buseniss does not rely on market conditions“ and the difference between us and the compition is marginal so what ive been doing with my time latley is working on the best over all stratigy for me to use that marginal aproach with the low cost investment and keep on trying its better than quiting thanks again Neil for all your advice and helpfull tips they are realy giving me stregth.

Great message about how to make use of my time, I once heard that we can’t manage time because its infinite, we can only prioritize it. Keep them coming!
