Hi Neil,
I’m not from America but I have a general question for you. I’ve been reading and following ur guides closely. There just one question that I would like to clarify, from prospecting side of the story, is it a trend in the United States that buyers only list their property with only 1 agent? As much of the teachings I’ve viewed on prospecting it seems like it could be hard to get listings in the States. For our case, all sellers would actually say yes right away to an agent because in here it is a trend that we almost never get exclusive listing. So I’m wondering if these teachings are based on a different trend or system compared to the one I’m working in so there will not be any confusion applying them.

Yes, almost all listings are exclusive, but then agents offer the listing on a system that allows all agents to show the property to buyers. I would suspect our Multiple Listing Service system is more advanced than the system in your country, and that allows us to have exclusive listings that work.

Thanks for the clarification Neil. We do not have a system like MLS. Most advertising is done on a paid to use website thats advertising all over the country. Most buyers go there and agents paid to have their listing listed. Almost all buyers would welcome an extra agent to market their property and whoever brings a compatible buyer/tenant gets the commission. Whats your take on such system on improving our productivity?
