Quote: “You can close more business in two months, by becoming interested in other people, than you can in two years, by trying to get people interested in you.” – Dale Carnegie
To reach your full potential you must grow, and to grow you much be highly intentional about it.
Question: What great accomplishments would we have in the world today if everybody had done what they intended to do?
Most people don’t act as quickly as they should on things. They find themselves subject to the law of “diminishing intent,” which says the longer that you wait to do something that you know you should be doing now, the greater the odds that you will never actually do it.
So….Why don’t we act?
1. Ego. We are afraid of making mistakes, and we don’t want to look bad. Not looking bad is costing you $10,000 maybe $100,000 per year.
If you knew that looking bad 5 times a week could earn you $500,000 would you be more inclined to intentionally look bad daily?
What would you attempt if you knew you would not fail?
More Reasons for not taking action:
2. I have to find the best way before I start
3. I don’t feel like doing it.
“I am not motivated to get it done now or today.” Harvard psychologist Jerome Bruener says you’re more likely to act yourself into feeling than feel yourself into action, so act whatever it is you know you should do. Just do it.
Preparation (growth) + Attitude + Opportunity + Action = Success
The awesomeness of what if…..
What if I did my job today?
What if I learned one objection script per month for the next 12 months?
What if I worked the exact number of days I set out for in my goal?
What if I prospected the exact number of hours each week?
What if I made all the contacts I set out to make this year?
What if I did all that prospecting without interruption?
What if I went and previewed 100 properties per month this year?
What if I went and saw 5 expireds per week day?
What if I previewed 5 homes every week day?
How could those activities change your life over the next 30 days?
What if?
One of the most important principles of success is persistence….. the art of not giving up.
44% of all sales people quit trying after the 1st call
24% quit after the 2nd call
14% quit after the 3rd call
12% quit trying to sell after the 4th call
This means 94% of all sales people quit trying after the 4th call.
60% of all sales are made after the 4th call, so that means most people give up way to soon.
For the next 30 work days:
1. Just talk to more people. We are in the “talk to people business;”
Past client and centers of influence; they want to and need to hear from you!
Expireds and old expireds; there are 1,000’s of them, go talk to them, use the hot market script!
2. Follow up more intensely; no appointment, no money, no appointment, no money! Get it?
Today matters!
You will never change your life until you change something you do daily.
What I do daily will bring me success beyond my wildest dreams If I do what I am supposed to do for the next 30 work days.
Now go out and have an awesome week!
