Let’s start by reviewing numbers for last week:
- Sales closed
- Pending’s
- Listings taken
Now, let’s review the facts:
Fact…. deals are being done right now
Fact…. people are still buying and selling houses at this time of the year
Fact…. there are fewer agents to compete with now than at any other time of the year
Now….go do a 5.5.10
You may be asking:
- How do I start?
- Where do I start?
- Which area is better?
- What time of the day should I go?
- What should I leave?
- What do I say?
- What price range is selling?
- What do is say if they answer the door?
- What do I do if no one is home?
- What shoes should I wear?
- What if I don’t have a name badge?
Then the doubts creep in. “Maybe there is something I could do that would be more productive.”
Who should I talk to to find that out?
I wonder what management would tell their own kids to do.
So that all these questions don’t get in the way of taking action….
- We must take control of our Attitude, have a stronger Approach and raise our Expectations.
- Challenge yourself to be who you know you are capable of being
- Challenge yourself to follow through to live what you preach and to walk your talk
- Don’t feel badly about how slowly you feel about heading toward your goals or how many road blocks you find or how many detours you are forced to take….. as long as you are moving forward, everything is good.
- You’re still cruising far above anyone who is afraid to even get started.
Always Do Your Best and Life Will Give You Its Best
But what if you have average talent and average skills, like most people?
How could you ever hope to excel and make a ton of money in our business?
What makes the high paid agents high paid …..is not always their talent.
It is almost always because they try harder.
They apply themselves more diligently and do their best more often than the average agent does.
Think of the name of a top agent…. a legend agent… an agent that does consistently 100 + deals every year.
In the beginning they did not know the scripts… they did not know how to fill out a contract…. they went to real estate school to pass the test.
They took one listing then made a sale and after a bit sold another one then after a bit they took another listing and sold that one.
But they started with one……. get it????
They were average people doing average activities but they just did them!
Over and over and over again
And now…. they are getting big results….
Everything Big Starts with Something Little
To do your best is achievable by anyone, yet the majority of people never do their best.
They do just enough to get by.
Just enough to pay the bills.
Just enough to keep their job.
Just enough to live the lifestyle they have become accustomed to.
Would you be proud of showing a video of your work day to your spouse or significant other?
Or would you be afraid they would say “what the heck?”
Think about that and then ask yourself this question: “How often do I give my best?”
Remember….small steps daily, not giant steps occasionally will get you to your goals.
You can do anything you put your mind to.
What I do Daily will bring me success beyond my wildest dream…If I do what I am suppose to do.
The actions you take today can get you another listing or sale before the end of the year.
You can do it! Get out there this afternoon and complete another 5.5 .10
